Josiah Wedgwood started the company at the age of 30 with his own factory. In 1765 he designed and created a complete set of porcelain for Queen Charlotte. He made a name for himself with his creation of Jasperware.
Jasper is translucent clay that marries the basalt and his own mixture to produce dense and homogeneously colored stoneware. Jasperware was launched in 1775 and it was a great success.
Jasperware is the most famous and craft of Josiah Wedgwood. It has produced for over 200 years. It is available in various colors that glazed the background of the Jasperware. Jasperware collection is still available online as on of the prized product of Wedgwood.
With new facilities, aggressive marketing campaign and new and exclusive designs, Wedgwood China became a prominent name in chinaware.
Today Wedgwood manufactures quality ceramics with a combination of classical and contemporary design. This is being crafted by skilled and quality standard to stand up of the name of the company since the beginning. Every item is made out of timeless, elegant and classic designs.
California, Colosseum Platinum, Persia, Reflection, Blanc and Nior and Parade have been discontinued and a replacement for these items is available but is limited.
Currently, the company established a partnership with world-renowned designers namely: Jasper Conran, Vera Wang and Robert Dawson.
